MINCE PARETHA

Age old recipes that stand the Test of Time, those are the recipes worth treasuring...

Zahira Salejee is most definitely treasuring her Grans recipe that was handed down the generations. We are so glad to have Zahira share with us this little treasure of a recipe, SHUKRAN💕

How Yummy does this Paretha look? A simple to make recipe, that you could fill with your own fillings, here Zahira used a regular Minced Meat filling that she uses for her Samoosa.   However it is the technique and the 'roti' that play just as an important role to pull this age old recipe together.
Here is how Zahira made this. (SHARED AS RECEIVED)

MINCE PARETHA

Its just :
1 and 1/2 cups flour,
1 tsp baking powder,
1/2 tsp salt,
a little ghee and
enough hot milk or water to make a soft dough.

* Divide into 4 balls and roll out each the size of a roti.
* For the filling use your basic samoosa  Mince, when it's ready add in
~ 2 egg whites mixed with a little yolk.
* Brush each roti with a mix of oil and ghee, top with filling and continue layering ending with the 4th roti on top.
* Brush remaning egg yolk and sprinkle thal/sesame seeds.
*Bake at 180 degree Celsius till golden.
